Feasible Altruism at Its Finest: the Entrepreneurial Philosophy of Naveen Jain

Posted on Monday 19 October 2009

Like so many people, you’ll have come across Mr. Naveen Jain’s name as being the co-founder & CEO of Intelius, Inc. a market leader in background checks, identity theft protection and public records services. In addition to making the Forbes list “400 Richest in America” in 2000, this maverick entrepreneur has won a whole range of reputable awards, foremost the WSA Industry Achievement Award, the Albert Einstein Technology Medal, and the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award, to name a few. Yet things certainly expand out from there. Because Jain and his relatives are equally as passionate about their philanthropic efforts and will try to assist whenever possible. All our hopes for the years to come are held in our youth. This entrepreneur sees - and treats - young people as a central focus of his charity projects and he makes the best of any occasion he comes across to help them. This is why he is so thoroughly using every possibility he can to offer help if at all possible. Consequently, Naveen Jain, his relations and his staff at Intelius, Inc. pledge their time and efforts to charitable institutions as, for example, the University of Washington, the Rotary Club, and the Children’s Hospital. As is to be expected, they give plenty of pecuniary support, but even more importantly they dedicate lots of time and care to the youth who need it the most. What’s more, he helps finance the Children’s Hospital, hoping to elevate child health.

Seeing that Jain is a former student of XLRI Jamshedpur and the Indian Institute of Technology, it’s not at all surprising that professional training also constitutes a crucial focus in his humanitarian endeavors. This encompasses deserving causes and charities that are local, state, and nationwide. Thus, Intelius and its CEO are aiding aid agencies and charities like the Vedic Cultural Center, Hopelink and the Indian American Education Foundation.

Getting foodstuffs over to the underdogs of the world is another critical objective to Jain and those around him and to him, it makes not a iota of difference. Although he is cognizant that the job of obtaining provisions for all the planet’s starving is an eminently colossal one, he also recognizes that the unfeasible can actually become realistic when everyone works together. If this business leader should actually have his way, there will be a decisive conclusion to squalor and hunger on this planet at some point. One would suppose that being the leader of a spectacularly successful enterprise and a committed husband and parent would leave him with little spare time for charitable activities. All the same, he ensures that all of his philanthropic endeavors is given all the attention he can realistically marshal. To wrap it up, this idealistic man is indisputably more than a simple (though admittedly very successful) pioneer of industry. He is, even more importantly, an exceptional person and a veritable pillar of his community.
